SEBILLA PART I
I am Sebilla, yet they call me Blonde Dolly
A name that dances on the tongues of The Hague
By night, I’m a shadow where the red lights glow

Sebilla, sweet Dolly, your story’s a song

Dark Molly first, with curls of midnight hue
Then blonde I turned, to craft a self anew

Sebilla, sweet Dolly, your story’s a song

No pimp to bind me, I carved my own way
By day, I walked where society would meet
A mannequin’s grace, with poems at my feet
I spoke for the old, gave my heart to their time
They whispered of my book, that blue-bound lore
Names of the mighty who knocked on my door

Sebilla, sweet Dolly, your story’s a song
Of strength and of secrets, of right and of wrong
A grave in The Hague holds your name in a stone
But your spirit untamed will forever be known

The mystery of Dolly both tragic and great
None cold unravel the knot of her fate
Her life was a canvas both shadow and flame
A woman who rose above judgement and shame

Tears that fall
Shadows call
Bound by all
Rise or stall
Hearts enthrall
Break the wall
After all
After all

The truth of your end may forever be lost
Your name lives eternal, no matter the cost
Sebilla, our muse, in the stars you abide
A legend, a mystery, forever our pride!
The mystery of Dolly both tragic and great
None could unravel the knot of her fate
A grave in The Hague holds your name in a stone
But your spirit untamed will forever be known

Love and pain
Hearts that wane

WHO KILLED BLOND DOLLY
In the shadow of the city lights,
Dolly walked alone that Friday night
Golden hair, moonbeams, she passed,
this evening was her last
Bouvier Nicky by her faithful side,
black coat gleaming in the neon tide
Two silhouettes against the wall,
before the darkness, swallowed up them all

Detective found her at the break of day,
pearl necklace where her body lay’s
Lipstick, like secrets on the ground,
Nicky made a mournful sound
The dog won’t leave his mistress side,
his eyes hold the clues we can’t disguise
He saw the killer’s face beneath the stars,
witness testimony leaves no scars

Who killed blonde Dolly, in the dead of the night
in the dead of the night
Only Nicky saw it, what wasn’t right!
But dogs can’t speak of what their eyes have seen
The truth lies buried in this crime scene
Your story haunts these empty, these empty streets
Bouvier Nicky howls your name, but the mystery never sleeps

Who killed Blond Dolly?

DOLLY’S BLUE BOOK
In the Hague’s dim streets,
where whispers hum
Blond Dolly danced to her own drum
A queen of night, with golden hair
A life of charm, beyond compare
But in her hands, a book of blue

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Blue pages stained with power and lies!
In ’59 you met your demise

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Oh Dolly, life’s a tale of dread!
That blue book hid beneath her bed

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Oh Dolly, what did they see?
Your blue book holds the key to thee

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Oh Dolly, life’s a tale of dread!
That blue book hid beneath her bed
By day, she mingled with the grand Were Whispers hum A seamstress stitching fate by hand Here own drum

By night, her rooms
in New Haven glowed
Where silent deals and passions flowed

That blue book....hid beneath her bed

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Oh Dolly, what did they see?
Your blue book holds the key to thee

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took
Oh Dolly, life’s a tale of dread!
That blue book hid beneath her bed

Oh Dolly, what is in that book?
A secret world the shadows took

Oh Dolly, what did they see?
Your blue book holds the key to thee
Hid beneath her bed

In the Hague’s dim streets,
where whispers hum
Blond Dolly danced to here own drum….

NICKY SAW IT ALL
In the city of veils and faded grace,
Behind the curtains, a painted face
She danced through whispers, bought and sold
A beauty cloaked in secrets cold

Autumn kissed her window pane
The night she never woke again
A silken robe, a final sigh
A shadow moved and Nicky cried

A lock unbroken, but she was slain
No sign of struggle, no windowpane
Perfume ghosts, cigarette burns
One small tail that never turns

Nicky saw it all, the silence and the fall
A tiny heart, the final call - Nicky saw it all

They questioned friends, questioned foes
The truth, it sleeps where no one goes
Her secrets buried deep and wide
One brown eye had seen the tide

Autumn kissed her window pane
The night she never woke again
A silken robe, a final sigh
A shadow moved and Nicky cried

Fifty years and still unsolved
Her tale in smoke and myth evolved
But in some dream, the door swings wide
And Nicky howls from the other side

Nicky saw it all, the silence and the fall
A porcelain scream against the wall
He barked, but no one came at all
Nicky saw it all, the silence and the fall
A tiny heart, the final call - Nicky saw it all

Nicky saw it all, the silence and the fall
A tiny heart, the final call - Nicky saw it all

SEBILLA PART II
That night, October’s end, the air grew still
A hand in the dark, with a heart to kill
My bouvier barked, but my tale was spun
Who took my life? The truth lies out of reach
My blue book vanished, no whispers of sound

Hearts that wane
Who’s to blame

The mystery of Dolly, both tragic and great
None could unravel the knot of her fate
Her life was a canvas, both shadow and flame
A woman who rose above judgement and shame

Love and pain
Hearts that wane

The truth of your end may forever be lost
Your name lives eternal, no matter the cost
Sebilla, our muse, in the stars you abide
A legend, a mystery, forever our pride!

On Monday, November 2nd, 1959,
Police officers broke open the front door
of a small house on the New Haven in The Hague
A large black dog ran outside; trembling
Upstairs in the bedroom,
the officers found the body of 32-year-old sex worker
Blonde Dolly,
Lying among the rumpled sheets of her bed
She’d been strangled three days earlier

I am Blonde Dolly, a riddle, a flame
A woman of facets, no single name
In West Dune I rest, but my story won’t fade
A mystery unsolved, in the choices I made

BLUE FLASHES
Blue flashes in the red-light district,
the horns and nasty sounds
Don’t know were all the people came from,
but they are all around
The growing crowd blocks the road and makes it hard,
for the ambulance to leave.

They are waiting silently
for someone to, tell it all.

Closed curtains hide inside,
terror and horror but what they don’t know.
The crowd has stepped, when they forced their way inside,
the little room she had hide.

They all knew here as the blond one,
who new here way well in the trade
Now, she’s nothing but a chalk-line
that tomorrow, has washed away.

Short rememberd soon forgotten,
did she ever live at all
Still, she gives some kind of comfort,
to the lonely, who could pay.

FLOWERS FOR BLOND DOLLY
Beneath a stone where
no one speaks her name.

The crowds are gone,
the silence stays the same.

She lies in earth that never
asks her why.

Just drifting years and
an unchanging sky

Each passing week a flower
finds its place.

No written word, no trace,
no hidden face.

Laid gently down by hands
that stay unseen.

Just fading love for what she
might have been.

Someone still remembers,

Someone still remembers,

Someone still remembers

Blonde Dolly.

Who walks alone
when evening turns to gray.

A soul that never
truly went away.

Who hears her voice
where others hear no sound.

A truth still waiting
buried in the ground.

Someone still remembers........

DOLLY’S LAST NIGHT
And I feel that this night will be her last, I know it must
My breath runs thin and cuts like glass that grinds my chest so tight
Her name beats loud and drums in time with each step that I take
The blade rests cold and waits to taste the debt, we both have made
The stairs creak slow and warn my feet to turn and flee this place
But pride burns hot and drives my hand to knock hard on her door

No bell will toll, no voice will speak…
No bell will toll, no voice will speak of right or wrong

But pride burns hot and drives my hand to knock hard on her door
And I feel that this night will be her last, I know it must

Hear the hush that falls before the break of dawn
Feel the weight of all the vows now turned to stone
In your eyes I see the end of what we were
When the night is done , just one will face the sun

No bell will toll, no voice…
No bell will toll, no voice will speak of right…

No bell will toll, no voice will speak of right or wrong
